I painted this Scent of Camellia for my friend as a small wedding celebration.

I was delighted to have this opportunity and witness her wedding. It was the gift I painted for her: considering the painting an excellent lifetime decoration at home.

This painting is a unique texture painting: the technique I rarely use. It was a challenge for me, but I enjoyed discovering my potential. For the nature of flowers or plants, most artists prefer to paint them using watercolours, leaving a clear and see-through effect. For acrylic painting, the texture effect is the strength. I felt it might be a strength to paint flowers by adding their unique texture depth in detail. The painting looks authentically solid. I am satisfied with this painting - not only with the design and the vision but also with the painting process.

I named this painting scent of Camellia because I felt I could smell the scent of Camellia when I was painting them. I hope you have similar experiences when you see them, too. :)
